Wikipedia article creation service for top Pfizer executive

Challenge

Pfizer stakeholders were perplexed that Wikipedia lacked a page about its top executive, Albert Bourla.

Solution

Our Process

Prior to fall 2020, a Wikipedia search for “Albert Bourla” directed readers to the Management section of the Pfizer page, which contained only one section about CEO Albert Bourla. Pfizer sought out Beutler Ink to remedy the situation. In cooperation with Pfizer’s communications team, we researched and wrote an all-new biographical article, and led the process of seeking placement for it through Wikipedia’s Articles for Creation process. Editors recognized the new article as being high-quality, and approved it within a short period after it was posted. The new draft was approved by Wikipedia editors and placed in the main encyclopedia by the time the successful clinical trials of the Pfizer–BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine were announced in November.
