Google Social

Since 2015, we’ve regularly collaborated with Google’s official social media team to help brainstorm and design snackable illustrations for their social feeds and dynamic headers for each channel.

These static and animated graphics help Google attract audience attention and reinforce brand values. Past installments have covered quirky holidays, important anniversaries, famous innovators, and whimsical Google Easter eggs. Subjects are determined in close collaboration with the social team and always reflect Google's values and mission.

Though each illustration is unique in subject and style, we maintain a consistent aesthetic steeped in the company's iconic color palette and signature style. Our designers strive to capture key themes and important ideas with playful imagery that delights and inspires audiences across the world.

Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Exchange

GFE Exchange is a program from Google For Entrepreneurs that sends entrepreneurs from around the world to a global network of Google’s Campuses and partners for mentorship and networking.

Google for Entrepreneurs approached us produce an illustrated map series that would introduce participants to their host cities: Paris, London, Dubai or San Francisco. We imagined these maps as mini versions of the popular Lonely Planet guide, providing visitors with all they needed to know about navigating public transportation, finding major landmarks and tourist locations, and tracking down the best restaurants and nightclubs. By creating a map that folded down to a pocket-sized guide, we were able to easily combine the helpful tips of a local with the spacial awareness of a map.

To fulfill this vision, we researched the host cities and neighborhoods extensively, and gathered dining and recreation tips from the local Google for Entrepreneurs teams and partners. Our illustrations captured the visual flair of each city in their depictions of local architecture and street design.

Google Campuses Microsite

Google famously launched from a Silicon Valley garage, but today’s startups operate in collaborative communities and co-working spaces. The Google for Entrepreneurs team creates spaces called Campuses to support these startup communities and connect founders with mentoring, training and resources.

2015 was a banner year for the Campus family, and GFE turned to Beutler Ink to help showcase the program’s major accomplishments. Our strategists helped analyze internal survey data to find interesting statistics and responses. Then we created an eye-catching microsite and report showcasing these numbers, detailing big wins and diversity trends, and highlighting founder success stories. The site and report mix data visualizations of key stats, illustrated depictions of local landmarks, and photos of the Campuses and community members.

We weren’t done, though! We also worked closely with individual Campus teams to produce a series of detailed reports for the London, Madrid, Seoul, and Tel Aviv Campuses. The reports highlight membership and diversity numbers, program and event highlights, and case study examples of how Campus offerings helped particular startups breakthrough. The website and reports were well received by key stakeholders and helped GFE communicate its admirable accomplishments to a wider audience.
